Nicola Borri

Independent Director

Born in Bari in 1976

Nicola Borri has been a Director of Banca Ifis since 2024.

He graduated in Economics with honors from Bocconi University in Milan, where he also earned a Master’s degree in Economics. He completed a PhD in Economics from Boston University (US) in 2009 under the supervision of Adrien Verdelhan. Since 2010 he has held a faculty position in the Department of Economics and Finance at Luiss University, Rome, where he currently serves as an Associate Professor of Finance. He has published numerous research articles in internationally recognized economics and finance journals, with applications to asset pricing, fintech, cryptocurrency markets and system risk in financial markets. His academic work has received numerous recognitions, including the Bonaldo Stringher Scholarship from the Bank of Italy.

He is currently an Associate Editor of Economics Letters and a member of the Editorial Board of Economia Italiana.

He has served on the Advisory Committee of two real estate funds, Fondo Aristotele and Fondo Gamma, and as a member of the examination committee of the OCF, the licensing body for financial consultants.
