Treasure Hunt with the artist Philip Colbert

26/05/2024
International Sculpture Park

An event for children (7-10 years of age), created by Philip Colbert, the Scottish artist described as the godson of Andy Warhol and known the world over as “The Lobster Man”.

“I became an artist when I became a lobster.” In his pop style, Colbert uses every form and material to breathe life into his best-known and most iconic works: cartoon lobsters that captivate young and old alike.

Villa Fürstenberg Park will be taken over by his lobsters, and our little guests will search for them throughout the International Sculpture Park’s plants, trees and works of art.

Born in Scotland, Philip Colbert holds a master’s degree in Philosophy from St. Andrews University. From the outset, his work met with international acclaim from museums and galleries thanks to his new artistic approach to pop theory. Colbert’s pieces are based on the works of the great masters of the movement, from Richard Hamilton to Roy Lichtenstein, combined with everyday symbols of contemporary mass culture.

The event is by reservation only, provided places are available.
