Who is the EIB

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is the European Union’s financial institution for long-term investment in line with the Union’s policy objectives. Its mission is to promote integration and contribute to the socio-economic cohesion of member countries.

What is EIB Funded Leasing?

EIB funding is offered exclusively for financial leasing operations with a minimum term of 24 months and is intended to support all those SMEs that need to finance the purchase of innovative goods belonging to the category of goods envisaged in the “National Transition 4.0 Plan”. This is a measure implemented thanks to an agreement between Banca Ifis and the EIB to support the growth and development of Italian SMEs.

Benefits

Leasing with EIB funding is specifically designed to support SME growth through:

Competitive leasing, with a financial benefit of a 25 bps annual reduction;
Reversal of stamp duty on the contract of € 16.00.

Who it is aimed at

It is intended for all companies meeting the size requirements set out in the Community guidelines on state aid for small and medium-sized enterprises (with fewer than 250 employees at consolidated level) based in Italy and registered in the Companies Register.

Some sectors are excluded, including but not limited to:

Financial and insurance activities;
Hydroelectric energy;
Production of arms, explosives, military vehicles;
Gambling;
Manufacture or distribution of tobacco.
